How to Join

If you would like to take up shooting come and see us at the Witney Rifle Club. Visits are by appointment only, so drop us a line to arrange a visit.

In compliance with our security protocols, a mandatory vetting process is conducted by Thames Valley Police for all new applicants. Your first visit, and any subsequent visits, will not include live shooting until official police background clearance has been successfully obtained.

Your initial membership is probationary, this is a legal requirement. The probationary period will normally last for a minimum of six months, then you may apply to become a full member. If you are a member of a home office approved club we may be able to decrease your probationary period. Registration is on-line, please visit https://wrc.wpr.org.uk/register. Registration starts with the basic, but once accepted you will be asked to add further details (including a passport style photo).

Registration will be required in full before you will be able to shoot.

New members do not pay subs for the first four weeks (we call this the introductory period), but after that you will be asked to pay 50% and become a probationary member. After that, upon becoming a full member, you will be asked to pay the remaining 50%.
